The #1 Thing You Can Do To Lose Weight And Feel Great Every Day!

I love hearing success stories and seeing how people’s lives have changed due to implementing simple principles into their daily lives vs. chasing after fad diets and the craziness they bring. There is no such thing as a magic bullet, but Lord knows we have all searched for it at some point in time.

I know I did!  When I was in my 20s, I was looking to lose about 15 pounds and I had read somewhere that cottage cheese and carrots were a perfect meal for losing weight.

So, for over 6 months I ate nothing but cottage cheese and carrots for lunch. Ugh!

I was committed, but after enduring that for 6 months I felt a little like I should have been “committed” to a psych ward. Talk about boring!!! I had no idea why I was eating them other than some magazine or someone like Dr. Oz said it was a great plan.

Unfortunately, it didn’t work, because there is not “just one thing” you can do that will make you healthy or shrink your waist.

It is about understanding the principles of what your body needs to thrive on a daily basis, not just survive. Once you learn the principles, life, and health can be transformed in a short amount of time!

Here is a perfect example of what can happen:

Before working with Jen, I had taken medication for high blood pressure since age 37...more than 30 years. After a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis with frequent flare-ups and painful inflammation, then later gout ... I began seriously looking at the things I was eating. I gave up soft drinks, artificial sweeteners, red meat, pork and although I saw improvement....it wasn't enough.

I started working with Jen and with much patience, she encouraged and pushed me to look hard at what my body needed but never condemned or criticized. She was available anytime I texted or emailed and her response time was quick...an important part of helping me be successful without giving up.

A month ago, at my doctor's instruction, all my blood pressure medication was put "on hold" because I no longer needed it! I had not reached my goal weight....but I was eating better than I had ever eaten and my BP responded to that after just 2 months!

Now, after 3 months, my lab work for a rheumatologist shows my inflammation markers are down from 15.5 to 9.7 (Normal is anything under 10) and I have lost over 30 pounds

This is so amazing and I am enjoying a reduction in medication for the RA now as well as for my BP.  I have tools for life and I plan to build a healthier, happier me with these tools.  Thanks, Jen, for encouraging and supporting me on this journey! Talk about motivation to continue great nutritional habits!

It isn’t about finding the quick fix or the magic bullet!  It is about the principles you can apply to any area of your life!!  These are exactly what I teach in my eBook: Eat Yourself Healthy – a 14-day Jumpstart To Look And Feel 10 Years Younger!

One of the key principles to understand is that stable blood sugar is essential for managing energy, cravings, and portion control.  Unstable blood sugar contributes to systemic inflammation which leads to heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Diabetes, along with almost every other disease.  It is critical to maintain healthy blood sugar levels as well as to lower fat storage and aid in weight loss.

Here is a diagram explaining what happens when our blood sugar fluctuates.

In order to maintain healthy, stable blood sugar levels, you must begin implementing this principle first thing in the morning.

Mom always said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  It turns out, she was right!

If you start your day with no breakfast, coffee only, or just fruit or cereal, you will likely suffer from fluctuating energy levels, increased cravings and increased caloric intake throughout the day.

Starting your day with a solid breakfast sets you up for success the rest of the day!

A study published in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition findings “suggested that eating breakfast helped reduce dietary fat and minimize impulsive snacking and therefore may be an important part of a weight-reduction program.”

When you start with a protein-based breakfast, you are starting your day off with stable blood sugar.

In my e-cookbook, Eat Yourself Healthy – 14-day jumpstart to look and feel 10 years younger! there are a dozen different recipes for a healthy, delicious, and quick protein-based breakfast, not to mention, over 50 pages of education, recipes, and meal plans all designed to help you stabilize your blood sugar levels and reclaim your health.
